Vintage Swedish Cookie Firkin with Swing Handle

This wooden cookie firkin has a painted Swedish motif and lettering on two sides reading: "Du Skall icke Stjäla" (You shall not steal) on one side, and "Kakor" (Cakes) on the reverse. The box is made of pine and banded tightly with two brass strips. Dimensions: 8 1/2 inch diameter on the base, 7 1/4 inches across the lid, 8 inches tall with handle down, 11 inches tall with handle up. This firkin is in pretty nice shape, with some scratches/scuffs around the perimeter. Clean inside with nice scent of pine. Sturdy construction- no splitting or separating of wood.
